Holland Sr.I have found this book to be very inspirational as well as informational. More than anything else, this is a challenging read. This author not only expresses and explains the call and need for planting missional churches, but he offers himself as a wonderful example of the call, the sacrifices, the challenges and even tensions that are requisite to obey this daunting task. This is more than a ‘how to’ but a ‘been there’, ‘done that’, and ‘doing it now’ account of church planting. Understanding the culture, the environment, the political and social climates, not to mention a lethargic spiritual atmosphere must be considered when launching out on such an endeavor.I believe Pastor Griffin eloquently and elaborately lays out, not only his journey, but an effective road map to anyone who has a call, a desire, or even a thought about planting a work/church in kingdom ministry. This is a must read!Submitted- Rev. David Griffin is the Seeder.By Deborah Smart“As a graduate of Rev. A. David Griffin’s outreach ministry, Spheres, it is my pleasure and honor to share with you my thoughts about this book. Cultivating Faith will open the eyes of pastors, ministers and lay persons who are blessed with the Apostolic spiritual gift. If you truly have a desire to fulfill God’s purpose in your life, and have been praying for God to show you the way, your prayers have been answered. In this book, Rev. Griffin masterfully guides the reader through the Church Planting process as he weaves his own personal experience of planting churches from New Jersey to South Carolina. He is transparent with the hits and misses; the highs and lows; and the sacrifices not only he endured, but his young family also endured as they supported his ministry. Storytelling is the greatest tool in teaching, and Cultivating Faith not only tells his story, but plants the seeds to building a missional and church planting ministry. ” – Deborah Smart, Publisher, Editor and Author (Gladstone Publishing Services)1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Very informative and insightful. A demonstration of faith in Jesus Christ for the times we live in.By CFullerI found Pastor A. David Griffin's book, "Cultivating Faithfulness" to be very informative and insightful. He demonstrates the heart of a Pastor for his congregation as he transitions from his congregation and answers the call of God to relocate and plant a new church. He also explains how one should go about planting churches and being on mission for the Lord. Cultivating Faithfulness is not only a "how to" manual for planting missional churches in this day and age but it is also a demonstration and illustration of how one must have complete trust and faith in God to answer His call.See all 7 customer reviews...
