Although the sources come from many centuries of thought, they were chosen by a man who was a part of his age. For example Maeterlink is quoted five times, a choice not so expected these days, Robert Ingersoll ten times. Entries are well indexed by author and by topic but their arrangement in the book seems to be based on whenever Hubbard discovered them, in other words they seem randomly arranged. A fan of Hubbard or of turn of the last centuries culture will be charmed by them, as by the typeface and layout in this almost-facsimile publication. My eyes have a bit of trouble with all the serifs but they are part of the grace of those times.
